Take a stand.

Eh, one o' Chevis's (snowboarder.mindsay.com) blog entries, and my reply to it, inspired this entry. Here goes:

I often see that a lot of people around me are struggling with stress a good amount of the time. I also notice that I have not often found yours truly stressed out of my mind, and I finally put my finger on why. It's quite simple, really. First, you have your standard prerequisite: Pray about whatever situation you've found yourself in. VERY important step. Unfortunately, God will most likely not end whatever you're struggling with at that exact moment, which is where my revelation comes in. Here it is: Everything ends. A very simple truth, and yet, it comes in handy an awful big chunk of the time. Time will keep moving (until God decides to stop it, of course; but we the saved will have nothing to worry about when that happens ). If you happen to be in some stressful situation, look forward to the future. It helps quite the bit.

This is mostly something to just think about; it's kind of a hard concept for me to semantic-ize (i.e., put into words) and it will probably come across sort of oddly, but I tried.
