Take a stand.

I just watched Cast Away again. Dude, it is definately one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen. Not counting all of the comedies on my list, I'd have to say, it's the best movie I have ever seen. Why, you say, is a movie about a guy who gets stuck on an island with naught but a life raft and a few FedEx packages so intrigueing? Personally, I can't quite answer that question. Tom Hanks does an insane job with his character. I think he won an Oscar or something, too. And, even though this was the second time I've seen it, a few tears still welled up when Wilson floated away. I mean, what would you do if your only companion for 4 years, coincidentally being a volleyball, floated off into the infinite expanse of the horizon? The sheer power of Hanks' grieving over Wilson just gets to the deeper parts of me.

On a lighter note, they just happened to show a FedEx Ground Shipping commercial near the beginning, which I thought was kind of ironic. I also thought of a new cereal: Shredded Cheese. I can just see the commercials, with a huge orange tiger saying, "It's GRRRRRRRRRRRRATED!"
