air conditionToday, I totally scored a free early 20th-century upright piano in just about the best possible condition it could be.
If you're a piano-restorationist-in-training, that is.
Bad tune, broken keys, old strings, worn felt, cat scratch fever, poor veneer finish...
It's a beautiful thing.
Turns out a lady my mom works with has this piano her grandfather and dad got for her, and it has great sentimental value, but she has no room for it and NO ONE wants it due to condition.
But remember, from a social standpoint, being a nerd...I AM no one.
My mom lays down the 411 on me being the new host of Pimp My Piano and BOOM: free piano scored.
So as soon as that bleeding first lesson of my tuning school makes its dandy way out here from the Land of the Governator, I'll be jet-set and raring to go to make this piano the hottest thing since...

(If you're not getting the "with knobs" thing and are also male, have a good friend of the female type read about it from the glossary of your local Georgia Nicholson book, haha)
